About
About me
I'm Alex Donahue, a graphic designer specializing in branding, typography, and layout design. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Visual Communication from Concordia University Wisconsin, where I built a strong foundation in identity systems, editorial design, and print. I like design that's easy to understand but still has something to say, always approaching each project as an exercise in problem-solving with storytelling at the center.
Art and design have always been part of my life, starting with drawing and painting at a young age and growing into a passion for visual communication. Through my coursework, I developed hands-on experience with projects such as identity systems, a type specimen book, a restaurant menu, and editorial design, work that continues to shape how I think about design today.
What I enjoy
I love exploring typography, building identities, and creating print pieces that feel thoughtful and cohesive. Every project is a chance to refine my process and push my skills further. I'm skilled in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), typography, and layout design, with a strong foundation in branding and visual communication.
